Collaboration on Multi-Disciplinary Guidelines
The Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS) maintains a set of standards and guidelines for neurointerventional procedures. These standards are prepared by SNIS members with specialty training in the medical disciplines of interventional neuroradiology, endovascular neurosurgery, and interventional neurology. Other professional societies and trade organizations with similar interests (peripheral interventional radiology, cardiology, vascular surgery, or the American Heart Association, for example) occasionally prepare practice guidelines and recommendations on topics similar with or related to neurovascular diseases. SNIS members are often asked to participate on behalf of the Society to bring the perspective of the neurological specialties and stroke expertise.
