COVID-19 Information

COVID-19 Update:  March 1, 2021

Dear SNIS Colleagues,

As part of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery’s mission to support a vibrant and supportive community of neurointerventional physicians and colleagues, SNIS regularly hosts conferences and other events.  These meetings are essential opportunities to build connections and exchange ideas.  However, as a professional association, we are also committed to the health and safety of our members, particularly given so many are health care providers, and remain vigilant about monitoring the local conditions where SNIS events are held.

COVID-19 continues to be a developing situation and we are monitoring the vaccine rollout and response closely.  We are continuing to confidently plan for the SNIS 18th Annual Meeting & Fellows Course to be held July 26-30, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Mindful of our responsibility to provide a safe conference space, the SNIS team remains in close contact with hotel representatives, the Convention & Visitors Bureau and local partners on sanitary, health, and other measures that should be in place at the hotel hosting our event.  We continue to monitor guidelines from the World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other pertinent public health organizations as part of our collective responsibility to focus on the facts and to act with common sense and sound judgment.  The county in which The Broadmoor resides (El Paso County) has recently lowered their COVID level from orange to yellow so they are trending in a positive direction.

Members are advised to check their country-specific and employer travel advisories as well as other authoritative sources and to understand their hotel and transportation carrier’s policies on cancellation or changes.

Please keep checking this webpage, which we suggest that you bookmark.  We will be updating it regularly as the situation evolves and making sure it contains links to relevant and reliable public health resources.

Sincerely,
